Safemark today revealed its new animal-themed attraction: ScooterPals plush rides. Announced during the 2021 Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) Annual Conference, the debut of the novel ScooterPals electric seated-scooters usher in a whole new species of fun and adventure for visitors of Zoos and parks.
Serving up joy and entertainment for virtually all ages, the plush scooters can accommodate up to two riders and are available as timed rentals, which means renters can ride their ScooterPals for as little or as long as they want – whether it’s for a quick thrill or a full day of fun. The rental process is quick and easy: Visitors simply scan the QR code (no app download needed), complete the form and they’re ready to rent and roll.
“ScooterPals is so much more than just a scooter rental; it’s an interactive animal-themed adventure that not only amps up the entertainment factor for users, but also boosts margins and drives engagement for the brand’s customer partners,” said Safemark Chief Marketing Officer Mark Schmidt. “Guest experience and partner satisfaction comprise the core of Safemark’s mission. The introduction of the ScooterPals-branded offering exemplifies our continued dedication to evolving and expanding our solutions in order to deliver results beyond expectations.”
Capitalizing on Safemark’s successful foundation of convenience- and need-based solutions, the launch of the ScooterPals brand marks its parent company’s expansion into the entertainment/amusement arena and rounds out a robust portfolio of products and services designed to deliver unparalleled value to clients and consumers alike. Crafted around the company’s purpose-built ECV scooter, venues offering Safemark’s full suite of mobility offerings will benefit from the safety, durability and service that are the core of Safemark’s value.
Safemark partnered with long-time customer Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Fla. to introduce ScooterPals to the public.
“We’re thrilled to be the first zoo in the nation to offer a full-fledged ScooterPals fleet because it truly is such a cool, engaging way to bolster enthusiasm and elevate our guest experience. Along with providing a fun, comfortable, convenient way to cruise around the grounds, ScooterPals’ lineup of characters allows our visitors to connect with the animals on a whole different level and explore our exhibits in an entertaining, memorable way,” said Andrea Hill, marketing and communications director at Brevard Zoo. “Plus, the ScooterPals are an attraction in their own right. Guests tell us they feel like rockstars riding around on the rentals because the scooters generate so much interest and excitement from fellow zoo-goers.”
Brevard Zoo’s menagerie of ScooterPals characters includes Kozēe the Bear, Sarge the Rhinoceros, Nyx the Leopard, Ponce the Lion and Reya the Giraffe.
“Safemark is the industry standard and has been a valuable partner to us for many years, so when the opportunity arose for us to become their very first ScooterPals location, we jumped at the chance. It was a seamless integration into our operations, and the benefit and ease of doing business with a single existing, established vendor to bring in additional revenue is priceless,” added Hill.
Currently available for rent on site at Brevard Zoo daily, ScooterPals will also be on hand with a few fun surprises in store to help kickoff the official start of Brevard Zoo’s popular Boo at the Zoo annual event, which gets rolling October 16.
